
Cost Points for Renovation Project
Harford Family House welcomes both cash and in-kind donations of all of any part of the work or equipment needed to renovate an apartment. The list below is an estimate of the cost to renovate an apartment or to renovate individual rooms or projects.
Total cost to renovate an apartment plumbing and electrical work not included) - $25,000 Electrical work including supplies - $2,200 Plumbing work including supplies and water heater - $4,800 Total renovation cost per apartment - $32,000
Bathroom – re-glaze tub, provide new vanity with sink top, medicine cabinet, accessories, new linen closet doors, ceramic tile floors and walls. Shower/tub ceramic to be provided full height. (Toilet and sink supplies to be provided by plumber) - $5,000
Kitchen – new stove (S600), new refrigerator ($ 750), new microwave with shelf ($250). New cabinetry and laminated counter tops. Floor prep and installation of 12” vinyl composite tile - $10,000
Living Space – Sand hardwood floors and apply semi-gloss polyurethane by manufacturer’s recommendations - $2,500
HVAC – Provide duct cleaning throughout and provided service/system checkout. $1,500. (Some apartments require new HVAC units at $4,200)

Harford Family House is a registered 501 ( c) (3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. In addition, donors will be recognized in various ways depending on the level of the donation.
