Welcome to Harford Family House! Harford Family House is the largest provider of transitional housing for homeless families with children in Harford County. We are the only organization in Harford County capable of keeping an intact family, including a father, together during the crisis of homelessness. It is our goal to end homelessness in Harford County, one family at a time. As a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), we are committed to increasing the availability of affordable housing to all families.

Chrystal Morris has a pretty good idea of where she would be if not for Harford Family House: “I’d be dead or in a gutter.” Chrystal, 43, struggled with addictions since the age of 14, never lived on her own and had been homeless for close to four years.  Instead, she now ticks off a list of accomplishments.

She works full-time and has been drug-free for two years. While a resident at Harford Family House, she also cleaned up her credit record, opened a bank account and is completing a GED.
